Church for the community

A Church for the Orkuroto Oloserian Community

Roman Wildlife Foundation – Our journey of faith and help continues

In the heart of Africa, in the remote region of Orkuroto Oloserian, lives a community of people who, despite difficult living conditions, never lose hope or faith. It is here, between the savanna and dusty roads, that our foundation has decided to write the next chapter of its mission – to build a place where this community can gather, pray, and build their future together.

The story that brought us here

When I visited Orkuroto Oloserian together with my "brother" Antony, I met people who, despite poverty and limited resources, showed incredible community strength and deep spiritual faith. I got to know the local community, its elders, and the pastor, who told me that church services here have so far been held under the open sky or in makeshift shelters – with no protection from rain, sun, or wind.

I sat with them, listened to their stories, and saw in their eyes a request that was not for charity, but for partnership in building something lasting. A church that would become not only a place of prayer, but also a symbol of hope, unity, and faith in a better future for the entire area and community.

Our task

After this meeting, I decided that our foundation, Roman Wildlife Foundation, would take on this challenge. In cooperation with the local community and the pastor, we plan to build a church that will be:

  • A safe and dignified space for worship and spiritual gatherings
  • A place where unity and mutual support among families can grow
  • A symbol of hope for the next generations growing up here
  • A center of community life that goes beyond faith alone
Why it matters

Together with Antony, I saw firsthand what real help truly means – not just addressing immediate needs, but supporting what gives people strength and meaning: their faith, their culture, and their community bonds. For the people of Orkuroto Oloserian, the church is far more than a building. It is a place where family meets family, where children hear the stories of their ancestors, and where, in difficult times, comfort and the strength to carry on are found.

How you can get involved

This project can only become a reality thanks to our foundation and the support of people who care about the fate of communities in remote parts of the world. Every contribution – whether financial, material, or in the form of volunteer help – brings us closer to the day the doors of the new church in Orkuroto Oloserian will open.

Become part of this story. Help us build a place where faith, hope, and community find their home.
